Three Locations, One Team

Prairie Wind Trailers has been selling and servicing trailers in South Dakota since 1995. Our lots are in Harrisburg, Humboldt and Elk Point, and in 2023 Ludens Inc joined the team.

We stock utility trailers, dump trailers, enclosed cargo trailers, car haulers, equipment trailers, flatbed gooseneck trailers, horse and stock trailers, tilt bed trailers, truck beds, skid steer attachments and snow removal equipment. We carry Aluma, ATC, Big Tex, Diamond C, H&H, Liberty, Midsota, PJ, Sundowner, Teton, Titan and US Cargo.

All three locations have a parts counter and a service shop. We handle bearings, brakes, wiring, suspension and inspections on any trailer, whether you bought it from us or not.

We were pulling our 25 foot trailer across I 90 when the tire blew. Limping a mile down the road to the next available exit at Humbolt, what do we find but Prairie Wind Trailers. After a quick phone call and a short drive to their shop, they were able to get us in right away, fix the tire and the wheel bearing in just under two hours. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful!

Recently took my work trailer to Prairie Wind trailers for some much needed love. The service guys over there redid my entire suspension and repacked my bearings. The service guys also completed a thorough inspection, in which they replaced my breakaway cable too. They were able to complete all this in one day! We purchased our 2025 H&H Topline Car Hauler back in October of 2024 and it has served us great in the 8 months that we've had it! Brandon was an excellent salesman to deal with and made the process very easy on our end! Trailer was fairly customized and came as ordered.

We are so pleased with the fast service and concern Jeff showed us on our recent trip across the country. We noticed an uneven tire tread pattern on the tires of our Airstream travel trailer and called first thing in the am. Jeff got right back to us and reassured us that they would take a look. As soon as we arrived he told us where to go and Dave checked out the situation.
Fortunately, no axel issues but we did need new tires and an alignment. We purchased the tires there and are now heading down I 90 for the alignment ( which they facilitated)
We can’t thank them enough for their kindness, concern and service.

Took my Trailer in for bearing service. They had noticed some lighting issues and fixed them as well as replacing new lug nuts and safety chains. Night and day difference with being very affordable on price and done within a timely manner. Definitely recommend them
